You will need to prepare for the party much in advance and then some more at the last minute. If the size of the party is big you will need to make additional accommodations for the guests. The seating arrangements need to be decided and you will have to make way for additional chairs and tables. This is the work which you will have to do at the last day as the people you have invited and how many people will be attending your party.

You will have to think about the party decorations and decorating your home and that will be needed to be done at the last minute. You can always finish this part of decorating your house early but there are a number of benefits to leaving them down until the day of your party. Those benefits include the lack of dust that will accumulate on those decorations and the less likelihood of them getting damaged before your party even begins.

If you are planning a Thanksgiving dinner party then you must have prepared many dishes well in advance but the snacks and the salad which needs to be served will be prepared early in the morning. Even if you are just serving snacks and drinks at your party, you will want to wait until that day to start setting them out.

Cleaning of the house can be left till the very end as otherwise the dust can accumulate again and your house will look shabby and dirty. So you will need to clean the house on the last day of the party or in the morning.

If you are currently in the planning stages, it may be a good idea to develop a party checklist or a party planning schedule. This may make it easier to decide what you should and shouldn’t save until the day of your Thanksgiving party.
